Smile Program Partners
Posted 10/03/22We have partnered with the Smile Programs...the mobile dentist, this upcoming week to offer in-house dental cleanings and oral health care beyond the cleaning if needed. Children deserve a quality, early learning experience, and if a child has dental pain this hinders that learning opportunity tremendously. Head Start staffers do work with families to secure a local dentist as early as possible, and definitely by age 3, however, many local dentist offices are not seeing very young children, have no openings, and unfortunately find that families make appts and don't keep them.
We are very grateful to our local dentists and their staff in the northern panhandle. We also see children who receive specialized care in Morgantown, WV.
