Parent Banquets
End of the year "Parent Banquets" are designed to honor parents for their involvement throughout the year and provide a fun night out, just for the parents! Each county staff group organizes a theme-event for parents to enjoy together.
The May 2011 events were scheduled as follows:
- HANCOCK COUNTY - St. Paul's Church, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. "SUMMER BEACH THEME"
- BROOKE COUNTY - Wellsburg Nazarene Church, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. "MINUTE TO WIN IT THEME"
- OHIO COUNTY - Wheeling Park Schwertfeger Shelter, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. "MARDI GRAS THEME"
- MARSHALL COUNTY - Glen Dale Park Shelter, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. "SUMMER PICNIC THEME"
- WETZEL COUNTY - Wetzel County Center for Children and Families, 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. "LUAU THEME"
Unfortunately, the rainy weather may have 'dampened' the number of participants but not the spirit of celebrating parents at Head Start!
