Mom's Day Out
Seven mom's participated in a fun day out just for them! The day began with hair cuts and styles, full makeup and manicures at Scott's College of Cosmotology. Then they enjoyed a luncheon prepared and donated by the staff and a candy bouquet donated by Candy Bouquet of Wheeling, WV. The mom's received a gift bag with a journal that was donated by Marlene Midget, Executive Director, NPHS Inc., as well as several toiletry and bath items.
Medical Students Visit
The Laughlin Memorial Chapel, Wheeling, WV, hosted medical students from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. These students wanted to learn about health issues facing our local area, such as availability of prenatal care, the lack of doctors/dentist who accept the medical card as well as learn about the MIHOW program. Two mothers enrolled in the MIHOW program shared their experiences with the program and how MIHOW has supported them.
