Celebrating Head Start Staff

The Human Resources Department concludes the program year by honoring staff who have achieved 5,10,15, 20 and 25 years of service.  The following staff were recognized in May:

5 years of service – Melissa Barnett, Infant Toddler Teacher, Ohio County; Valerie Beck, Kitchen Aide, Marshall County; Thomas Bedore, Bus Driver, Brooke County; Amy Gibson, Teacher  Assistant, Brooke County; Amanda Hall, Office Assistant; Heidi Neely, Teacher Assistant, Marshall County; Lewis Richmond, Bus Driver, Marshall County; Ralph Rowland, Bus Driver, Brooke/Hancock County; Anita Rush, Support Staff, Marshall County; Megan Smith, Teacher, Hancock County.

10 years of service – Paula Blake, Teacher Assistant, Marshall County; Barb Hollobaugh, Area Coordinator, Marshall County; Gail Meyer, Bus Driver, Ohio County; Thomas Miller, Bus Driver, Marshall County; Bett Ott, Early Head Start Supervisor; Betty Pitts, Substitute Teacher Assistant, Ohio County.

15 years of service – Mary Pingley, Licensing & Transportation Coordinator; Cathy Williams, Fiscal Manager.

Vicki Himelrick, teacher, Wetzel County, was recognized for retirement.  She has been with the program for 17 years.  Additionally, a new award was unveiled, "The Hall of Fame Award".  Diana Kreitzer, LPN, former Health/Nutrition Manager, was the recipient for her 20 years of service.

 The event also provided the group setting for the announcement of  the Recipient of the Rhonda L. Moore Memorial Award.  The 2013 Award was given to Stephanie Barnett, MIHOW Supervisor, Ohio County, Wheeling, WV.

The MIHOW program provides an overview of the activities and events throughout the program year and the Executive Director highlights program accomplishments.
