Northern Panhandle Head Start is hiring for the following positions -

Current Openings:

 

 

Full-time positions with benefits:

EHS Parent Educator (Marshall County):  Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education; 1 year experience working with families, excellent communication skills, ability to develop supportive relationships with very young children and families. Full-time with benefits. $11.60 per hour.

Program Assistant – Wetzel County:  Qualifications:  Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Provide administrative support to county Program Coordinator, provide coverage in centers, and serve as a liaison between field staff and supervisor. Full-Time with Benefits   $11.58 per hour.

Bus Drivers  -  Hancock and Wetzel Counties: Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, CDL Class A or B with passenger and school bus endorsement. $13.55 hour.

Family Resource Advocate – Hancock and Wetzel Counties: Requires: Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field; 1 year of experience in the social services field; ability to work with families in diverse situations, complete home visits, & knowledge of existing community resources. This position will also work in collaboration with other agencies partnering with Head Start. Full-time with benefits.  Pay Rate: $11.60 per hour.

Teacher Assistant – Marshall County Pre-K: Requires: high school diploma/GED and Child Development Associate program (CDA), demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and at least one year of experience working with young children.  Full time with benefits $10.55 per hour

FOR ALL COUNTIES:

Substitute Teacher - Qualifications include an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or in a related field with at least 18 credit hours in child development or early childhood education; Bachelor’s degree preferred; at least one year experience in a preschool or similar setting.

Substitute Bus Driver - Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a Class C or higher CDL with a passenger and school bus endorsement.

Substitute Teacher Assistant - Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, be willing to enter and successfully complete the Child Development Associate program, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and at least one year of experience in a pre-school or similar setting.

Substitute Kitchen Aide - Qualifications: Ensures kitchen is sanitary, well-maintained & nutrition program runs smoothly. Duties include preparing food, cleaning, & shopping. High school diploma required.

All Positions require a valid driver’s license, travel throughout the 5 counties of the Northern Panhandle, current food handler’s card, and ability to pass a background check.
