Northern Panhandle Head Start is hiring for the following positions:
Current Openings:
Parent Educator - Wetzel County. Qualifications: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education; 1 year experience working with families, excellent communication skills, ability to develop supportive relationships with very young children and families. Pay rate $10.23.
Kitchen Aide – Hancock County. Qualifications: Ensures kitchen is sanitary, well-maintained & nutrition program runs smoothly. Duties include preparing food, cleaning, & shopping. High school diploma required. Pay Rate: $7.61 per hour.
Education Training Assistant - Needed to provide administrative and clerical assistance for the Education Training Manager and also support and mentor staff in a preschool setting. Qualifications include a BA degree in Child Development, computer skills, organizational and interpersonal skills required; 1 year experience in a preschool and/or 1 year office experience preferred. Ability to work cooperatively with outside organizations and to travel throughout 5 counties of the Northern Panhandle. Full-time with benefits, pay rate of $12.68 per hour.
Early Head Start Father Advocate needed in Ohio County. This individual will work with fathers in all 5 counties, including incarcerated fathers at the Northern Regional Jail, and will conduct men’s group meetings, attend community meetings, and complete home visits. Qualifications include a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Social Services or a related field; ability to work with families in diverse situations; knowledge of existing community resources; computer skills; and a valid driver’s license. Full-time with benefits, pay rate $10.25 per hour.
Part-Time:

FOR ALL COUNTIES:
Substitute Teacher - Qualifications include an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or in a related field with at least 18 credit hours in child development or early childhood education; Bachelor’s degree preferred; at least one year experience in a preschool or similar setting.
Substitute Bus Driver - Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a Class C or higher CDL with a passenger and school bus endorsement.
Substitute Teacher Assistant - Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, be willing to enter and successfully complete the Child Development Associate program, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and at least one year of experience in a pre-school or similar setting.
