Northern Panhandle Head Start is hiring for the following positions -

Current Openings:

Full-time positions with benefits:

Child Care Partnership/Early Head Start Monitoring Compliance Auditor:  Requires Associates Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field; 2+ years working with children/families in education or human services field; knowledge of service delivery area; knowledge of WV Child Care Licensing Regulations.; excellent communication skills; and knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Full-time, full year with benefits.  $13.00 per hour.

Child Development/Disabilities Assistant:  Provides mentoring and support for field staff in curriculum, assessment, and challenging behaviors as indicated and/or directed. Provides clerical support to the Child Development/Disabilities Coordinator. Substitutes in the classroom for short or extended periods of time when directed to assure educational services to children occur. Qualifications: Associates Degree in Child Development or Special Education is required. Experience in child & family services, efficient organization, and teamwork building. Requires ability to travel around the 5county service area (Hancock to Wetzel), ability to handle multiple tasks, and ability to work in a fast- paced environment. Full time, full year with benefits. $12.20 per hour.

Kitchen Aide – Marshall County:  Ensures kitchen is sanitary, well-maintained, and the nutrition program runs smoothly. Duties include preparing food, cleaning, & shopping. High school diploma required. Full-time, full year with benefits $11.08 per hour.

Nursing Supervisor: Requires BSN, knowledge of community health care & nutrition resources, knowledge of prevention & identification of infectious disease & child development. Full time, full year with benefits.  $43,160.00 per year.

Early Head Start/ CCP Mentor-Coach: Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, 2 + years documented early childhood classroom teaching experience; experience in coaching and mentoring staff; strong organizational skills; working knowledge of computers; and knowledge of EHS Performance Standards. Full- time, full year with benefits $13.42 per hour.

Teacher Assistant:  (Ohio and Marshall Counties) Requires: high school diploma/GED and Child Development Associate program (CDA), or willingness to obtain CDA, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and at least one year of experience working with young children.  Full time, full year with benefits $11.08 per hour.

EHS Parent Educator:  (Hancock and Marshall Counties) Requires Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education; 1 year experience working with families, excellent communication skills, ability to develop supportive relationships with very young children and families. $12.20 per hour.

Program Assistant:  (Ohio and Marshall Counties)  Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Provide administrative support to county Program Coordinator, provide coverage in centers, serves as a liaison between field staff and supervisor.  $12.20 per hour.

Kitchen Aide - Floater: Qualifications: Ensures kitchen is sanitary, well-maintained & nutrition program runs smoothly. Duties include preparing food, cleaning and shopping.  High school diploma required. Full-time, full-year with benefits $11.08 per hour.

Infant/Toddler Teacher:  (Ohio County)  Requires CDA in Infant/Toddler (minimum) Associate in early Childhood Education or Child Development (preferred).  Full-time with benefits.  $12.20 per hour.

 

FOR ALL COUNTIES:

Substitute Teacher - Qualifications include an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or in a related field with at least 18 credit hours in child development or early childhood education; Bachelor’s degree preferred; at least one year experience in a preschool or similar setting.

Substitute Bus Driver - Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a Class B - CDL with a passenger and school bus endorsement.

Substitute Teacher Assistant - Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, be willing to enter and successfully complete the Child Development Associate program, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and at least one year of experience in a pre-school or similar setting.

Substitute Kitchen Aide - Qualifications: Ensures kitchen is sanitary, well-maintained & nutrition program runs smoothly. Duties include preparing food, cleaning, & shopping. High school diploma required.
