Northern Panhandle Head Start is hiring for the following positions -

Current Openings:

Full-time positions with benefits:

Fiscal Manager: Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, business, fiscal management, or a related field. A certified public accountant is preferred. Knowledge and/or experience with Uniform Guidance, 501(c) 3 organization accounting, governmental and grant writing experiences preferred. Monitors the fiscal, payroll, accounting, and purchasing systems. Assists in preparing financial statements and tax reports. Works closely with Executive Director, Fiscal Assistant, Fiscal Consultants and auditors to monitor cash balances and complete accounting ledger including periodic and adjusting entries, provides regular reports to Executive Director detailing financial information and systems. Works cooperatively with the Human Resources Manager, Fiscal Assistant, and Fiscal Consultant in the areas of employee benefits, payroll, attendance records and other personnel- fiscal matters. This position is exempt and full- time with benefits.

Teacher - Marshall County (Pre-K) - Requires minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or related field with at least 12 credit hours in child development or early childhood education; $13.17 per hour.

Teacher - Ohio & Wetzel Counties - Requires minimum of Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or related field with at least 12 credit hours in child development or early childhood education; $11.81 per hour.

Family Resource Advocate Marshall County - Requires Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field; 1 year of experience in the social services field; ability to work with families in diverse situations, complete home visits, & knowledge of existing community resources. This position works in collaboration with other agencies that partner with Head Start. $11.81 per hour.

EHS Parent Educator  - Brooke County  Requires Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education; 1 year experience working with families, excellent communication skills, ability to develop supportive relationships with very young children and families. $11.81 per hour.

Program Assistant Marshall & Wetzel Counties - Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Provide administrative support to county Program Coordinator, provide coverage in centers, serves as a liaison between field staff and supervisor.  $11.81 per hour.

Child Development/Disabilities Assistant - Provides mentoring and support for field staff in curriculum, assessment and challenging behaviors as indicated and/or directed. Provides clerical support to Child Development/Disabilities Coordinator.  Substitutes in the classroom.  Associates Degree in Child Development or Special Education Is required.  Requires ability to travel to our 5 county service area (Hancock to Wetzel).  Full– time with benefits. $11.81 per hour

Teacher Assistant (Hancock & Ohio Counties) - Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, willingness to successfully complete the Child Development Associate program; demonstrated written & verbal communication skills; at least 1 year of experience in a pre-school or similar setting. Duties include supervision of children and assisting them in developing self-help skills and documenting daily progress and activities of children. $10.74 per hour

CCP Social Service Specialist - Requires minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Mental Health, Family Development or related field; TLSW or LSW (preferred); ability to work with families in diverse situations; knowledge of existing community resources; and knowledge of Microsoft Office.  $12.88 per hour

CCP/EHS Mentor - Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, 2 + years documented early childhood classroom teaching experience; experience in coaching and mentoring staff; strong organizational skills, working knowledge of computers; and knowledge of EHS Performance Standards.  Full-time with benefits. & 13.00 per hour.

Kitchen Aide Hancock County (Newell) Qualifications: Ensures kitchen is sanitary & nutrition program runs smoothly. Duties include preparing food, cleaning and shopping.  High school diploma required. Part –time (20-29 hours) $10.74 per hour.

 

FOR ALL COUNTIES:

Substitute Teacher - Qualifications include an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or in a related field with at least 18 credit hours in child development or early childhood education; Bachelor’s degree preferred; at least one year experience in a preschool or similar setting.

Substitute Bus Driver - Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a Class C or higher CDL with a passenger and school bus endorsement.

Substitute Teacher Assistant - Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, be willing to enter and successfully complete the Child Development Associate program, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and at least one year of experience in a pre-school or similar setting.

Substitute Kitchen Aide - Qualifications: Ensures kitchen is sanitary, well-maintained & nutrition program runs smoothly. Duties include preparing food, cleaning, & shopping. High school diploma required.
