Northern Panhandle Head Start is hiring for the following positions -

Full-time positions with benefits:

Program Coordinator – Marshall County: Supervises education, transportation, & social service employees.  Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education required, Associates Degree in ECE with willingness to complete Bachelor’s Degree may be considered with experience; experience in employee supervision, child & family services, efficient organization, and teamwork building. Requires ability to travel around the 5 county service area (Hancock to Wetzel), ability to handle multiple tasks, and ability to work in a fast paced environment.  Head Start operations experience is a plus. Full time with benefits. Annual salary $28,912.00.

Program Assistant – Wetzel County:  Qualifications:  Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Provide administrative support to county Program Coordinator, provide coverage in centers, and serve as a liaison between field staff and supervisor. Full-Time with Benefits   $11.58 per hour.

Kitchen Aide – Marshall County:  Ensures kitchen is sanitary, well-maintained, and the nutrition program runs smoothly. Duties include preparing food, cleaning, & shopping. High school diploma required. Full-Time with Benefits $10.55 per hour

Bus Drivers  -  Hancock, Ohio and Wetzel Counties: Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, CDL Class A or B with passenger and school bus endorsement. $13.55 hour.

EHS Parent Educator  - Marshall County:  Qualifications: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education; 1 year experience working with families, excellent communication skills, ability to develop supportive relationships with very young children and families. $11.60 per hour.

 

Part-time:

MIHOW Home Visitor: Visits homes of Ohio County pregnant mothers & families with children up to age 3; mentors new mothers, serves as a role model, supports pre-natal and well-child care, connects them to a “medical home,” & links the family with community resources.  Minimum qualifications include high school diploma/GED; parenting experience; knowledge/skill in rearing young children; ability to motivate new moms; knowledge of Ohio County services available; & an interest in working with families.   Part-time (20-29 hours). Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour.

 

FOR ALL COUNTIES:

Substitute Teacher - Qualifications include an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or in a related field with at least 18 credit hours in child development or early childhood education; Bachelor’s degree preferred; at least one year experience in a preschool or similar setting.

Substitute Bus Driver - Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a Class C or higher CDL with a passenger and school bus endorsement.

Substitute Teacher Assistant - Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, be willing to enter and successfully complete the Child Development Associate program, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and at least one year of experience in a pre-school or similar setting.
