Northern Panhandle Head Start is hiring for the following positions -

Current Openings:

Full-time positions with benefits:

CCP Social Services Specialist: Requires minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Mental Health, Family Development or related field; TLSW or LSW (preferred); ability to work with families in diverse situations; knowledge of existing community resources; and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Full-time with benefits.  $13.14 per hour.

Teacher Assistant – Hancock County: Requires: high school diploma/GED and Child Development Associate program (CDA), or willingness to obtain CDA, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and at least one year of experience working with young children.  Full time, full year with benefits $10.95 per hour

Early Head Start Nurse - Qualifications include: LPN, the ability to communicate with people, and paperwork. Position works with infants, toddlers and pregnant moms. Duties include health screenings, home visits, educational training for parents, coordinating with Health Professionals / Agencies. Travel in all 5 counties required. Full-time. $17.75 per hour.

Pre -K Teachers - Marshall & Hancock (Newell) Counties: Requires minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or related field with at least 12 credit hours in child development or early childhood education; $13.43 per hour.

Teachers - Ohio & Hancock Counties: Requires minimum of Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or related field with at least 12 credit hours in child development or early childhood education; $12.05 per hour.

EHS Parent Educator - Marshall and Hancock Counties:  Requires Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education; 1 year experience working with families, excellent communication skills, ability to develop supportive relationships with very young children and families. $12.05 per hour.

Program Assistant - Ohio, Marshall & Wetzel Counties Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Provide administrative support to county Program Coordinator, provide coverage in centers, serves as a liaison between field staff and supervisor.  $12.05 per hour.

Kitchen Aide - Hancock County (Pipinos - Weirton): Qualifications: Ensures kitchen is sanitary, well-maintained & nutrition program runs smoothly. Duties include preparing food, cleaning and shopping.  High school diploma required. Full-time, full-year with benefits $10.95 per hour.

Infant/Toddler Teacher - Ohio County – requires CDA in Infant/Toddler (minimum) Associate in early Childhood Education or Child Development (preferred).  Full-time with benefits.  $12.05 per hour

 

FOR ALL COUNTIES:

Substitute Teacher - Qualifications include an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or in a related field with at least 18 credit hours in child development or early childhood education; Bachelor’s degree preferred; at least one year experience in a preschool or similar setting.

Substitute Bus Driver - Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a Class B - CDL with a passenger and school bus endorsement.

Substitute Teacher Assistant - Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, be willing to enter and successfully complete the Child Development Associate program, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and at least one year of experience in a pre-school or similar setting.

All Positions require a valid driver’s license, travel throughout the 5 counties of the Northern Panhandle, current food handler’s card, and ability to pass a background check.
