Strategic Plan 2011-2014
On January 26, 2012 the Strategic Plan 2011-2014 was presented to the Board of Directors for approval. The initial planning process began in the Summer of 2011 and by the Fall, a Strategic Planning Team was formed consisting of management and line staff, parents, board members, and community partners. The team met on November 9-10, 2011 and worked under the direction of strategic planning consultant Tricia Kingery, M.A., M.B.A., Kingery and Company, LLC, Charleston, WV.
The planning session consisted of three phases:
- Scanning the Environment - Understanding the history and current state of things
- Strategic Analysis - Assessing challenges, opportunities and critical issues for the future, and
- Setting Goals, Determining Objectives and Developing Action Plans - Establishing and agreeing on results to be achieved, determining specific outcome measures and deciding on a means to achieve the results
